Why do i need a plan for self-care?
If you’ve been hanging out with me online for a while, you know that last summer I had an anxiety attack that left me with debilitating anxiety in my everyday life for months afterwards.
My anxiety attack was triggered by a perfect storm of circumstances - limiting beliefs I’d held onto for years, self-sabotage, performance anxiety, and a lack of self-care.
Self-care is not “indulgent” or “frivolous.” It’s NECESSARY. It builds resilience. It’s a means of PREVENTION.
We’re sent messages all the time to hustle, work hard, push through, “man up,” and get over it. We often feel guilt for resting or taking it slow or prioritizing our well-being above work or school.
But think of how much more enjoyable work and school can be if you feel peaceful and at ease as a HUMAN!

Do the pre-work! Once you’re scheduled, I’ll email you a worksheet that will help you reflect on what’s currently working for you as well as the areas that might need a little shifting. Send me your homework the evening before our call, so we can make the most out of our time together :)
Self-Care Discovery Call: The fun part! We’ll spend 30-45 minutes reviewing your worksheet and digging deeper into what your needs and goals are. Together, we’ll look at your schedule and figure out where we can create space in your day that’s just for you!
The Plan: After our chat I’ll put together a PDF of your personalized self-care plan and email it to you within 48 hours! Woohoo! Get ready to indulge in some much needed “me” time!
Follow-Up #1: After a week experimenting with your new self-care plan, I’ll shoot you an email to check in and see how things are going! If you feel like the plan needs a little tweaking, we’ll work together to make those adjustments. My goal is for you to have a plan of action (and/or rest) that is sustainable and makes you feel good and better able to respond to challenges.
Follow-Up #2: This one is for accountability! After about a month on your new self-care plan, I’ll check in one more time by email to see how you’re feeling! Stress is inevitable, but our ability to respond to stress makes a HUGE impact in our overall wellness, which is the purpose for the self-care plan!
